We're waiting........

We are waiting (not very patiently) for Parker to make his appearance. I stole this picture off of Whit's blog, so you've probably already seen it. Isn't she cute? She is probably waiting the most patiently. :-)

Come on baby Parker! Grandma's ready and waiting for you.......

Easter!!!

We had a great Easter. Sean and Brooke came over with Finn for dinner. Kyle and Whit came over with Gavin after they had dinner with Whit's family. I love when we are all together. Brenna took her new cellphone and videoed everyone saying hello and Happy Easter to Grandma and Grandpa in Namibia, but now we can't figure out how to transfer the video from her phone to the computer. (We are definitely technology challenged.)

We'll try again tonight. Once we figure it out, I'll post it here.

I'm feeling very grateful for all of our blessings, especially for Jesus!

Happy Belated Easter.

Stuck at work!

So, Joe and I are here at work at 5:15 on a Friday afternoon. It stinks. We were planning to leave early, but here's the story.......

Eric took Brenna to the zoo today because it is his last day of Spring Break. He's driving the Suburban. Coryne took the Cadillac to school and was supposed to pick us up at 4:30 when she got out. She called about 4:40 with a dead battery. AAAGGHHHHH!!!!!! We don't have a car to go help her and she didn't want to ask anyone for help.

Now, Joe is on the phone with her and some guy is trying to help her, but he can't seem to get the cables connected right and I think it's somewhat hopeless. I don't know what we're going to do. We may be here until midnight and I'm trying not to be frustrated.

If they don't get it started, then we will have to wait until Eric gets back and we'll have to go jump it ourselves. We are obviously going to have to get the Cadillac into the shop and get it fixed. Bummer! I have a love-hate relationship with our cars. I'm very grateful for them and love that we have them, but I hate when they need service. It's a pain in the tush and costs too much.

I sure hope they get the car started.......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RYAN

Today is Ryan's 20th birthday. He is in Hidalgo del Parral, Mexico on a mission. We miss him. We made him this video and posted it so he can watch it over and over and remember us. :-) (Sorry it's so dark. We didn't decide to do this until really late Monday night and it turned out pretty bad. But, it's the thought that counts, right?)

Here's another Family Blog

Well, I'm following Whitney's lead and starting a family blog. I hope it's a good way to stay in touch and share what's going on in our family with everyone. So, I'll start with a quick run-down of each family member and where they are now.....

Sean just turned 29. Can you believe that Joe and I are old enough to have a kid that old?!?!?!?! Sean is married to Brooke. They have one child, a gorgeous son named Finn. We all adore him. Sean works for Washington Mutual Bank. Brooke is a wonderful stay at home Mom. Sean and Brooke live about 1/2 mile from us.

Kyle is 27. He is married to Whitney. They have a son named Gavin and almost have a son named Parker. (Whit is due at the end of March.) Kyle also works for WM. Whit is also a stay at home Mom. Whit is opening a daycare at home in the next couple of months. So, I guess she will then be a work at home Mom. Kyle and Whit live about 2 miles from us.

We love having Sean and Kyle and their families close to us. We feel very lucky!

Ryan is 20. He is currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Chihuahua Mexico Mission. He left on July 5, 2007, so we are fast approaching the one year mark. He will return home on or about July 5, 2008. We are definitely counting the days. We miss him!

Coryne is 18. She is in school at Palomar Institute of Cosmetology. She will graduate and be working before the end of this year. She loves school and is very good at what she does. She's already developing a strong clientele of people who want her to cut and color their hair.

Eric is 16. He is a Junior at Vista High School. He plays Varsity Water Polo and swims. He's a goof. He makes us all laugh and not take ourselves too seriously. Eric is always doing something. From the moment he wakes in the morning until he falls into bed at night, he is busy. He makes me tired.

Brenna is 10. She is in 5th grade at Alamosa Park Elementary. She is a very good student. She is an Irish Dancer. She is a hard worker and a lot of fun. Brenna is also a pretty busy kid. She loves to be outside playing. She is also learning to cook. Her favorite thing to make right now is cupcakes.
